Early in his life, Barak Shrama was interested in painting, drawing, and design. At age 20, he discovered photography and soon became fascinated with capturing decisive moments in time. His mission is not to manipulate photos but to show the emotions and events that were present at the moment the shutter was triggered. Photography quickly became more than just an extra-curricular activity for him and in his early twenties he began pursuing a degree in Photography in San Francisco.
Barak realized early in his career that he loves to photograph people and explore the world. This led to a series of portraits taken at home and abroad. These portraits capture intense moments and powerful expressions that show raw emotion. His explorer’s desire drives him to photograph exotic locations and personalities, getting to know interesting characters, listening to their stories, and sharing them with others.
Barak’s love for people and decisive moments got him involved in photojournalism and event photography. He has traveled to several locations in the United States to shoot weddings and receptions. He has also shot many events and parties in San Francisco for Going, French Tuesdays, and Mochi Media.
Barak is a young, ambitious photographer who lives in San Francisco and loves traveling, cooking, being in natural environments, and engaging with others in interesting conversations. Please contact him if you have any questions or comments.
